For internship through IAESTE Macedonia can apply all students that are on undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the following universities: ”Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje” , “St.Clement of Ohrid” University at Bitola, “Goce Delcev University of Shtip”, “University of Information, Science and Technology at St.Paul the Apostle” -Ohrid.
IAESTE offers paid internships for technical and natural sciences. For applying, the candidate is obliged to have knowledge in the areas written in the job description.
The internship length is not fixed, it can be from 6 weeks to 12 months.
The employer determines the period when the internship should be fulfilled and also defines the maximal and minimal length of the internship. Please check this specifications and see when you can take the internship, and also do not forget to write the period when you would like to take the internship in the application form.
Every intern that goes on internship by IAESTE Macedonia is responsible for acquiring visa and/or working permission. Only for one part of the countries IAESTE helps in acquiring this documents. For all other countries the intern has to contact the Embassy or the Consulate for providing these documents.

The official document from IAESTE Macedonia for acquired internship can help you get the visa and working permission that you need. If, by any case, you still have problems with the application you can always contact IAESTE.
Please do not leave on internship before you acquire all documents needed. If the student leaves the internship without the needed documents IAESTE will not take responsibility for the possible consequences. Also bring with you copy of all official IAESTE documents.
IAESTE Macedonia does not guarantee acquiring visa and working permission and is not responsible if the student’s application for visa or working permission is denied.
Through IAESTE you can apply for professional paid internship and all interns are paid by the employers. But you have to be sure that you are going to have enough financial resources for visa or working permission expenses, for travel costs and for all expenses that you might have in the host country before you take the first salary.
All documents have to be in English and should be sent as soon as possible to firstname.lastname@example.org in PDF format (if you are applying for internship for architecture you should also send a portfolio of your work).
Student Nominated Form
This document will be sent from IAESTE Macedonia when you will be appointed the internship. The document has to be filed electronically and signed. The period that you are going to choose have to be the same as the offered one from the employer.
The CV has to be in English, which will include your work experience, education, interests etc. You can find examples for CV, that might help you on this link: https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/en/documents/curriculum-vitae
The cover letter has to be in English too and for the appropriate internship. In it you have to write why did you choose particularly that internship and why do you think that you are the best fit for it. Do not forget to write your own address and the name and address of the employer. Well written cover letter increases the chances for getting the internship, which is why the cover letter is one of the most important document.
If it is expensive for you to get certificate for passed exams in Еnglish, you can translate the one you have in Мacedonian by yourself. You are going to receive example for how this certificate should look from IAESTE Macedonia. Check the names of the courses in English, open the website of the university in English and rewrite them. The Macedonian version of the certificate must be with official stamp from the archive. You must send them both, the original certificate in Macedonian and the translated one.
Certificate for knowing the language/s that are requested on the specifications of the internship.
Same as the certificate for passed exams, this one also can be translated from the one in Macedonian. You are going to receive an example from IAESTE Maceodnia for how the certificate for full time student should look like. You must send them both the original version in Macedonian and the translated version.
If the original is in English, that is enough, but if it is in Macedonian than you have to translate it and send both ,the original and the translated one. These documents are not necessary.
You must have at least one recommendation from a professor or previous employer.
For the documents to be sended, you have to pay the necessary entry fee. According to the length of the internship and the value of the salary, this is done in the following way:
If the student is rejected or the internship is canceled from the employer, the whole sum is returned to the student minus 1.200 MKD.
If, by any case, the internship is discontinued from the employer, but not by the intern’s fault, the expenses are fully returned to the student. The maximal value of entry fee for internship is 500 EUR in MKD equivalent.
